Taikata Sailing Club is the home of the Frostbite class and offers regular racing and social sailing to all junior and adult dinghy classes in the safe yet challenging waters off of Te Atatu Peninsula.
Taikata Sailing Club was founded in 1957 and has since been a stalwart in promoting sailing as a sport and recreational activity to people from all over Auckland. Taikata thrives on its community feel and several of the clubs founding and early members are still active.
Taikata has club boats for use and have a fleet of modern optimists available for juniors and learn to sail courses.
We welcome members of other yacht clubs to come sailing with us and new members are always welcome to enjoy the club no matter what they sail. Certified learn to sail coaches are also available. Just check out the events on fb.com/taikatasailing for upcoming race days and events.
